§ 1 Scope and definitions
(1)This General License governs the use of all RagnaSoftware products.
(2)Products are all programs, apps, launchers, mods, plugins, libraries and other software provided by RagnaSoftware, including updates and documentation, as well as all websites and online services – regardless of whether they are offered under the RagnaSoftware brand or under a product name of their own.
(3)A user is any person who installs, opens or uses a product ("you").
(4)An account is a RagnaSoftware account or a RagnaID that you use to sign in to products.
(5)A product license means the separate license terms, terms of use or terms and conditions of an individual product that you have agreed to.
(6)RagnaSoftware ("we") is the licensor. You can reach us at kontakt@ragnasoftware.net.
§ 2 Order of precedence
(1)If a product has its own product license and you have agreed to it, that product license takes precedence over this General License to the extent that it governs a point differently or additionally.
(2)This General License applies to all points that a product license does not govern. This also applies if the product license does not expressly mention the General License.
(3)The Terms and Conditions for Ragnarök+ count as a product license within the meaning of this section.
(4)The privacy policies of the products remain separate; this General License does not change them.
(5)Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular those protecting consumers, take precedence over all provisions of this General License and of the product licenses.
§ 3 Acceptance
(1)By installing, opening or using a product, or by creating an account, you agree to this General License. If you do not agree, you may not use the products.
(2)If a product asks for your express consent (for example on first launch), the General License applies from the moment you give that consent.
(3)If you are a minor, you need the consent of your parents or legal guardians for agreements that the law does not allow you to enter into on your own.
§ 4 Right of use
(1)For the duration of your use, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable right to use the products as intended for private and non-commercial purposes.
(2)Commercial means any use through which you intend to generate income directly or indirectly, or which takes place as part of a professional or business activity. Commercial use is only permitted with our prior permission in text form (an email is sufficient).
(3)You may publish content you create with the products – for example clips, videos, streams and screenshots – and you may also monetize it, for example on YouTube or Twitch. This does not count as commercial use of the products. We appreciate a mention of the product you used, but it is not required.
(4)All rights to the products – in particular copyrights, trademarks, names, code and design – remain with RagnaSoftware or with the respective rights holders. You do not acquire ownership of the products.
(5)Acts that the law mandatorily permits (for example making a backup copy, or decompiling to achieve interoperability under §§ 40d and 40e of the Austrian Copyright Act, UrhG) remain unaffected.
(6)Libraries for developers: Products that we expressly provide as a library, SDK or interface for integration (for example RagnaWeave) may be integrated into your own projects – such as mods, plugins or programs – and distributed as part of those projects. The following applies:
- You distribute the library only as a dependency of your own project, not on its own and not for sale as such;
- the copyright and license notices of the library remain intact, and your project states that the library is subject to this General License;
- the library itself remains subject to this General License; if your project is commercial, paragraph 2 applies.
§ 5 Prohibited use
In particular, you may not:
- Cheats, exploits and bots: exploit bugs or vulnerabilities, use cheats, hacks or unauthorized tools, use products in an automated way (bots, macros, scripts) or retrieve content in bulk (scraping) – unless a product expressly allows it;
- Circumvent restrictions: circumvent paywalls (for example Ragnarök+), sign-in, membership or RagnaID checks, or license and copy protection mechanisms, or share, lend or sell accounts, access or unlocked benefits;
- Redistribute and modify: copy, distribute, sell, rent, lend or make publicly available products in whole or in part beyond their intended use and § 4 (6); modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble them – unless the law mandatorily permits it; or remove copyright, trademark and license notices;
- Attacks and unlawful content: attack or overload servers, services or other users, spread malware or spam, harass, threaten or deceive others, or upload, distribute or link to unlawful content or content you do not hold the rights to.
Please report any bugs and security vulnerabilities you find to kontakt@ragnasoftware.net.
§ 6 Accounts
(1)Some products require an account. The information you provide when registering must be accurate; you may not pretend to be someone else.
(2)Keep your login details secret and do not pass them on. An account belongs to exactly one person. If you suspect that someone is misusing your account, change your password and let us know.
(3)You are responsible for actions taken through your account to the extent that you are at fault.
(4)You can have your account deleted at any time – in the account settings, where available, or by email to kontakt@ragnasoftware.net. Statutory retention obligations (for example for payments) remain unaffected.
§ 7 User content
(1)Content that you upload or create in products – for example clips, comments, profiles, ratings and uploads – remains yours. You keep all rights to it.
(2)So that we can operate the products, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right, limited to the period in which the content is provided, to store, reproduce and technically process your content (for example to convert or downscale it) and to display it or make it publicly available within the respective feature – in the way you have set it up (for example private, members only or public). When you delete a piece of content, this right ends; we remove technically necessary copies (for example backups) within a reasonable time.
(3)You ensure that you hold the necessary rights to your content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or any laws.
(4)We may block or remove content that violates this General License or the law. Reports of unlawful content can be sent to kontakt@ragnasoftware.net.
§ 8 Virtual goods
(1)Virtual currencies and goods in products – for example in-game currencies and chips, badges, levels, ranks, achievements and unlocks – have no monetary value. They are not your property but part of your right of use.
(2)They cannot be exchanged for money or other assets, paid out, transferred, sold or traded outside the respective product.
(3)We may adjust, rebalance, reset or remove virtual goods, for example to fix bugs, in cases of misuse, or when a product is changed or discontinued. There is no entitlement to compensation.
(4)Games with virtual currencies (for example card or casino games) are not gambling for money: stakes and winnings consist exclusively of virtual goods.
(5)Paid Ragnarök+ periods and the benefits associated with them are governed by the Ragnarök+ Terms and Conditions; they are not covered by this section.
§ 9 Availability, updates and third-party offerings
(1)We strive for high availability of the products but do not guarantee it. Maintenance, disruptions and outages may occur.
(2)We may further develop and change products, add or remove features and discontinue products entirely. Where possible, we announce the discontinuation of an online service in good time beforehand.
(3)Products may check for, download and install updates on their own, or prompt you to do so. Older versions may no longer be supported; online features may require an up-to-date version.
(4)Products may integrate or link to third-party services (for example Discord, Microsoft/Mojang, providers of AI models or payment providers). The terms of the respective provider also apply to their use. We are not responsible for the content and availability of third-party services.
(5)Products related to Minecraft (for example Pacifista, RagnaMod, RagnaLoader and RagnaWeave) are not official Minecraft products and are not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
§ 10 Open-source and third-party components
(1)Products may contain third-party components, in particular open-source software. These components are subject to their own licenses, which take precedence over this General License to that extent.
(2)This General License does not restrict any rights that those licenses grant you. You can find the license notices in the respective product or obtain them on request.
§ 11 Warranty and liability
(1)We provide free products as they are. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty for them being free of errors, uninterruptedly available or suitable for a particular purpose.
(2)We are liable for damage that we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health.
(3)We are not liable for damage caused through slight negligence, except for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health. Towards businesses, liability for lost profits and consequential damage is also excluded to the extent permitted by law.
(4)Liability under the Austrian Product Liability Act and any other mandatory liability remain unaffected. For paid services, the statutory warranty rights of consumers remain unaffected; for Ragnarök+, the Ragnarök+ Terms and Conditions also apply.
(5)Please regularly back up any data that matters to you (for example clips or settings) yourself.
§ 12 Suspension and end of use
(1)You can stop using the products at any time by no longer using them, uninstalling software and having your account deleted (§ 6 (4)).
(2)If you violate this General License, a product license or the law, we may warn you, restrict features, remove content, suspend your account temporarily or permanently and revoke your right of use. We choose an appropriate measure, taking into account how serious the violation is, whether it is repeated and whether it happened by accident.
(3)For minor violations, we warn you first where this is possible and reasonable. For serious or repeated violations – for example attacks, fraud, circumventing paywalls or unlawful content – we may act immediately.
(4)If you believe a measure is wrong, write to us at kontakt@ragnasoftware.net; we will then review it again.
(5)When your right of use ends, you must stop using the affected products. For paid services, in particular regarding any refund, the Ragnarök+ Terms and Conditions apply. § 4 (4), § 8, § 11 and § 15 continue to apply after your use ends.
§ 13 Changes to this General License
(1)We may change this General License, for example when new products or features are added or the legal situation changes. Each version has a version number and a date; you can find the current version at ragnasoftware.net/lizenz.
(2)Changes that only benefit you or are purely editorial (for example clarifications, corrections or adding new products as examples) apply from their publication.
(3)We inform you in advance of material changes – that is, changes that restrict your rights or impose new obligations on you – for example in the product, on the website or by email, and ask for your consent, for example on the next launch or the next sign-in. They only apply to you once you have consented. If you do not consent, you can no longer use the affected products from then on; you can have your account deleted at any time.
§ 14 Data protection
Which personal data we process, for what purpose and which rights you have is set out in the privacy policy of the respective product or at ragnasoftware.net/datenschutz. This General License is not consent to any data processing.
§ 15 Final provisions
(1)Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and the conflict-of-law rules of private international law. If you are a consumer, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence.
(2)The place of jurisdiction is determined by the statutory provisions. If you are a consumer, we can only sue you at your place of residence, your habitual residence or your place of employment.
(3)If any provision of this General License is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule.
(4)The German version is binding. The English version is provided for information only.
(5)You can reach us with questions, requests for commercial use, bug reports and other notices at kontakt@ragnasoftware.net.
